FMP Post - Post Production #1

I have been making progress on the project in terms of Post-Production. This project is considerably quite extensive and require a lot of editing. And during the Post-Production Stage I have been encountering issues when trying to edit at college. For example, multiple computers will not allow me to open the Premiere Pro or after effect files due to insufficient permissions which doesn't make much sense. Other errors include Adobe unable to verify the subscription status and the last error being that because I started editing at home where I use the latest version of Adobe software where as the adobe software at college is outdated, I am unable to even open the project so as of now, I am limited to only editing at home. Although I have requested an extension on the deadline so I have more time to edit and gather feedback for the evaluation. I have taken many screenshots which I will explain the process of editing each topic ranging from Manual Camera Settings to Interview and Dialo

FMP Post - Production

This week has been a productive week for the FMP. I have spent the week on filming the shots required for each topic.  At the beginning of the week, I decided to use a structure of filming for the first topics as they required A-Roll and B-Roll while the other two only required A-Roll as the B-Roll will be created digitally at a later date. The structure would begin with filming B-Roll for the A-Roll from the previous day and then record the A-Roll for a new topic. On Monday, I begun by recording the A-Roll of Setting Up Equipment. As this was the first shoot, on every shoot I make sure that all the equipment I will be using is ready for use such as the camera, radio-mic, SD Card, Greenscreen etc. There was an issue with the camera recording to a specific SD card. The camera could not record and write the video to the SD card quick enough which would make the camera stop recording automatically. To overcome this, I decided to use another SD card to substitute the malfunctioning one, th

The storyboards for each video is complete, a slight change will be made to the Filming dialogue scenes and the 180 degree rule as these topics are very similar and can be incorporated into one video. Currently, the scripts are underway. Two scripts are now complete, these scripts are the Manual Camera Settings script and the How to use equipment script. The remaining scripts to make are the filming dialogue scenes script and the Shot sizes and angles script. After the scripts, the last production document(s) are the location documents (location recce and Booking form/risk assessment) Production is due to start on the

FMP Post - Planning #1

The FMP project is a unit based on being able to originating, planning, filming and editing our own film idea. It could be any idea we have (within reason and that is possible in our circumstances). This project is considered to be a solo project although could be completed with other people. Although due to our current circumstanced with COVID, it isn't possible.  At the beginning of the unit, we have to come up with 3 project ideas and make a PowerPoint explaining our three ideas and a 250 word justification on our chosen idea.  This is the PowerPoint of the three ideas for the FMP.  After the FMP was sent, we now had to create a Pitch PowerPoint that would be presented in a Team Meeting on Monday 1st February. I had conducted a survey that would aid me in defining my target audience and figuring out what they want in a production techniques tip video.  After the pitch was presented, the pre-production stage could begin. This would start with research. More precisely: Audience Re
